Working With Ecoripe
Getting started & ordering
-
Ecoripe is a worker-owned tropical produce wholesaler, importer, and distributor based in Medley, Florida. We supply supermarkets, grocers, ethnic markets, and distributors across the United States and Canada, with 130+ tropical fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and roots you can combine in a single order. We've been doing this since 2004.
-
Our minimum order is $1,000 USD. That's what lets us build a properly curated mixed pallet around what your store actually sells. Not sure your volume fits? Tell us about your business in the application and we'll tell you straight.
-
Complete the Partner Application with your business details, the products you're interested in, and your estimated volumes. We review every application personally and aim to reply within 48 hours. If it's a good fit, we move straight to products, pricing, and delivery.
-
Your business type, delivery location, the products you want, estimated volumes, and any timing requirements. The more you tell us, the faster we can put together a proposal that actually fits your store.
-
Yes, as long as the order meets our $1,000 USD minimum. We work with independent grocers, specialty markets, and ethnic markets as well as supermarkets and distributors.
-
Ecoripe focuses on retailers and distributors, and our minimum order is built around that scale, so we're not set up for small food service orders. If you're a chef, ask your local produce distributor or grocer to carry Ecoripe. They can apply, and you get the fruit.
Products & assortment
-
More than 130 products across tropical fruits, tropical roots, vegetables, leafy greens, organics, and retail-ready items. Yes, mixed pallets are what we do best. Instead of committing to a full pallet of one item, you combine several tropical products in a single order: more variety on your shelf, less waste, one supplier, one delivery. We help you curate the mix around your customers.
-
Yes. Our USDA Organic selection includes organic ginger, organic turmeric, organic star fruit, organic yellow pitahaya, and organic white dragon fruit, with availability changing by season. Certification applies product by product, so we confirm exactly which items are organic when you order.
-
Several staples ship all year: white flesh dragon fruit, Thai white guava, passion fruit, ready-to-drink coconut, okra, organic ginger and more. Others are seasonal, so check our availability calendar before you plan.
-
Tell us what you're hunting for, how much you need, and where it's going. If it's in our 130+ portfolio, we'll confirm availability quickly. If it isn't, we'll say so. Feel free to ask here.
Shipping & logistics
-
Ecoripe distributes across the United States and Canada from our hub in Medley, Florida, near Miami. Delivery timing depends on your destination, and we confirm the plan with you up front.
-
Either works. When your order travels on Ecoripe's own truck, we handle the shipping logistics for you. If you have your own carrier or trucks, we coordinate directly with your logistics company so pickup runs smoothly. Either way, you shouldn't have to chase anyone.
-
Yes, we serve Canadian customers as well as U.S. ones. Share your delivery location and the products you need, and we'll confirm routing and timing. Partner with us here.

Most orders ship within 3-4 days of confirmation. Timing depends on your location, the products, and what's in season. We give you the delivery plan up front and update you before anything changes.
Quality, freshness & merchandising
-
Fresh tropical produce is a fussy business, so we work with careful handling, temperature management, and traceability from sourcing through distribution, under PrimusGFS food safety certification. Once it's on your dock, each product page has storage and handling guidance.
-
Start with who shops your store: the cuisines they cook, your display space, your volumes, and the seasons. Then pick a few anchors shoppers already expect and a couple of discovery items to spark curiosity. We'll help you build the mix.
-
Yes. Tell us what your approval process needs (USDA Organic, Fairtrade, PrimusGFS, or others) and which products you're evaluating, and we'll confirm which records are available.
Finding and enjoying our produce
Getting started & ordering
-
Not directly: we're a wholesaler, so there's no cart on our site. We supply the stores, and you'll find our produce at select retailers across North America. Check Where to Find Us to see where.
-
Our Where to Find Us section lists the retailers that carry Ecoripe. Availability changes with the season and the store, so if you don't see what you're after, ask the produce manager.
-
Mention Ecoripe Tropicals to the produce manager or store buyer, and point them to ecoripe.com. They can apply as a wholesale partner on our site. Shoppers asking for a product is one of the most effective nudges a store gets.

Three things. We're a worker-owned cooperative, so the people handling your produce have a stake in getting it right.
We make buying easier with mixed pallets and consolidated logistics across 130+ products. And we communicate proactively: we tell you what's coming before you have to ask, and we learn what you like to order so we can remind you when something's missing.
Certifications & responsible sourcing
-
Ecoripe works with Fairtrade, USDA Organic, and PrimusGFS (and Global G.A.P.
Each program covers something different: fair trade practices, organic production, food safety, and farm-level agricultural practices.
Certification applies to specific products and operations, so ask us about the items you care about. -
No. Certifications apply to specific products, farms, and sourcing programs rather than to every item we carry. If you need certified organic or Fairtrade produce, we'll point you to the products that qualify and share the documentation.
-
Fairtrade certification supports standards designed to improve trading conditions for farmers and workers. For buyers and shoppers, it's a way to identify products connected to those standards.
Check which Ecoripe products currently carry it on each product page. -
Traceable sourcing is part of how we work, so we can tell you where a product comes from. If your business needs traceability documentation for a specific product, tell us what you require and we'll confirm which records are available.
-
We build long-term relationships with the farms behind our produce, because the people behind our food matter as much as the food itself.
